Much of our Sisal fiber is produced in Kenya and Tanzania where it is extracted from the agave plant. Its long, fine, and fibrous qualities permit the Sisal to be spun into smooth textured yarn. Sisal contains tough fibers adding to its durability. The fiber's versatility offers a wide range of uses. This naturally anti-static, sound absorbing, flame retardant, long lasting fiber makes it an ideal product with enormous possibilities.

3 out of 5color not as shown December 28, 2010"I like this rug very much, with the exception of the border. The red/cherry border shows in the picture as more of a red-rust or dark cherry color. In real life it is very pink, leaning toward fuchsia, it doesn't go with the colors on the actual rug. If I had known this, I would have ordered a different border."
