Much of our Sisal fiber is produced in Kenya and Tanzania where it is extracted from the agave plant. Its long, fine, and fibrous qualities permit the Sisal to be spun into smooth textured yarn. Sisal contains tough fibers adding to its durability. The fiber's versatility offers a wide range of uses. This naturally anti-static, sound absorbing, flame retardant, long lasting fiber makes it an ideal product with enormous possibilities.

    "I bought a runner for my front hallway. The rug looks great. It is heavy enough to lie flat and has a rubberized backing so it doesn't move around on the floor.

    The texture of the rug is very scratchy -- even more so than I was expecting. Do not buy a sisal rug if you want to sit/play on it or walk on it with bare feet.

    I was worried that my cats would use the rug as a scratching pad, but so far they have shown no interest in it."
