Jute Rugs for Allergy Sufferers

Allergy sufferers, unite! Tracking allergens into your home will be absorbed by most other carpets, not your new Jute Rug. When looking to keep pesky dust mites and outdoor pollen out of your home it is important to start at the source, where you rest your feet. The Jute Rug, made out of non toxic fibers and tannins actually repel dust mites!

Jute Rugs and Allergies

When kept in dry areas, mold and mildew is kept at bay and eliminated with the natural fibers. With regular cleaning and the proper placement of your Jute Rug in your home, you can nip allergies in the bud.

Remember, normal maintenance and care is important for your Jute Rug! Due to the bound, course rug; regular vacuuming is crucial to increase your carpet’s life and eliminate additional allergens. Keep your Jute Rug out of outdoor areas, this will defeat the entire purpose of keeping allergens out of your home.

Noticing an increase of mold or mildew? The humidity may be too high in the space you have put your Jute Rug. Moisture will compromise the integrity of your Jute Rug. If you are an allergy sufferer, the Jute Rug will be the perfect addition to the entryway of your home. Check out the Santana Jute Rug for your allergy needs.

Decorating with Layered Rugs

An eclectic mix of function + color + depth.

The last time I shared this space, the hide rug was the only decorative floor covering in the space on top of the wood.  It was pretty, but the room swallowed it up.  It got lost with everything else going on.  It was too small for the overall scale of the room.  By layering the sisal rug underneath which I got from Natural Area Rugs, the space finally feels grounded.  It looks complete.  The hide is still the focal point of the floor, but the layered sisal rug with midnight blue border underneath provides the appropriate scale for the room.

If you are looking for a natural yet unique floor covering, our seagrass and mountain grass rugs offer the perfect solution. Seagrass is a very eco-friendly choice as it is grown in a paddy or field and is very sustainable. It is a non toxic material so is ideal for allergy sufferers as it contains tannins which repel dust mites. Hard wearing, its coarse natural fibers make it an excellent option for entryways. Mountaingrass rugs as the name suggests, are made from naturally occurring mountain grasses and as well as being eco-friendly they feature a natural earthy tone.

The natural seagrass and mountaingrass rugs feature hard fibers that render them ideal for high traffic areas as they have a strong resistance to dirt and stains.

Natural Area Rugs’ offer a stunning range of readymade seagrass and mountaingrass rugs which are available in 9 standard sizes. The range also feature extra wide cotton binding. We offer free same day shipping on our readymade rugs too. Alternatively, if you have something particular in mind, you can custom design a seagrass or mountaingrass rug to your own specifications.
