BEVERLY HILLS, California (May 2, 2006) -- A new line of Cosmopolitan shag rugs has been introduced by Natural Area Rugs, a well-known and respected importer of sisal, sea grass, wool, mountain grass, bamboo, and other natural fiber flooring. These new products accompany their recent addition of four new glossy bamboo carpets and bamboo window shades to their product line. These new additions will continue to add breadth to the variety of products offered by Natural Area Rugs.

Crafted from Japanese acrylic yarn, Natural Area Rugs’ new Cosmopolitan shag rugs shed less than standard wool shag rugs, while maintaining the comfort of a traditional shag pile. These shag rugs come in three styles: Chocolate, Honey, and Ivory. The “Chocolate” and “Honey” varieties are crafted with a blend of thick and thin yarn threads that create a thicker pile, and a softer texture. All shag rugs are backed with a cotton canvas binding. A rug pad is suggested to accompany these carpets on hard surfaces. They are available in most standard sizes including 3’x5’, 4’x6’, 5’x8’, 6’x9’, 8’x10’, and 9’x12’. Natural Area Rugs is proud to be the first company in the US to sell four new bamboo rugs, available in the standard sizes: 2’x3’, 2’6”x9’, 3’x5’, 4’x6’, 5’x8’, 6’x9’, and 8’x10’. These rugs are imported exclusively for Natural Area Rugs. All four styles come without a binding, and a dotted, non-slip backing. The “Elite” and “Exquisite” feature wide, high-pressed bamboo pieces with a heavy anti-UV lacquer coating and rounded corners. The “Horizon” and “New Wave” styles feature much smaller natural bamboo pieces, some of which are colored, which are made into a pattern. All four bamboo rugs are naturally stronger and more durable than traditional bamboo rugs. These recent additions to our bamboo collection open up a whole new array of decorating possibilities.
